Abstract:This paper reviewed the current status of basic research in plant cell engineering, highlighted the application ofembryo culture, double haploid(DH) technology, protoplast culture and somatic hybridization, somaclonal variation, rapidpropagation, and bio-products production of plant-origin, and the prospects.
